The Launching Ceremony of the 2025 Winter Social Practice Activity held

On the morning of January 11th, the launching ceremony of the 2025 “Grateful to My Alma Mater, Representing TU” winter centralized social practice activity was held at Jiaojiang Campus. Li Jianjun, Vice President and Member of the CPC TU Committee, attended and delivered a speech. Jin Linghong, Director of the Academic Affairs Department (Admissions Office), Pan Yao, Secretary of the University Youth League Committee, and representatives of teachers and students from various academic schools participated in the relevant activities.

Li Jianjun pointed out in his speech that social practice is the key to talent cultivation. Guided by the goal of enhancing students’ ideological realm, political awareness, moral quality, and cultural cultivation, the university will deepen the winter centralized social practice and contribute more youthful strength to society. He put forward five requirements for the students participating in the activity. First, be grateful for the past. Take this social practice activity as an opportunity to regularly report your growth to your alma mater teachers and express your gratitude. Second, act actively. In the practice, not only should you be modest in asking for advice and actively learn, but also be diligent in thinking, good at observing, help each other, and cooperate to show the positive appearance of our university’s young students. Third, abide by disciplines. Whether in team cooperation or individual actions, always keep in mind the discipline requirements of the team, be careful, and do not violate regulations, demonstrating the good qualities of TU students. Fourth, keep safety in mind. Always put safety first, abide by laws and regulations, and ensure the orderly progress of the practice activity. Fifth, review and summarize the gains. Have a plan and division of labor before the action, cooperate during the action, and summarize and improve after the action.

The Flag - presenting Ceremony

Jin Linghong and Pan Yao presented activity badges and work permits to the student representatives of the 2025 winter social practice and presented the flags to the practice teams.

On site, the Academic Affairs Department (Admissions Office) also carried out winter social practice training in three aspects: enrollment policies, practical operations, and safety awareness. Through the training, the teachers and students present had a deeper understanding of the university’s school - running situation, study and living environment, 2024 enrollment situation, and access to undergraduate enrollment information.

It is understood that after several preliminary steps including individual registration, interview selection, and team formation by the university, a total of 139 winter social practice teams consisting of over 580 team members have been finalized for this year’s winter social practice activities at our university. These practice teams cover 11 provinces and autonomous regions across the country. During the winter vacation, all the practice teams will carry out alma mater return and promotional activities. They will introduce our university’s educational philosophy, school -running conditions, and undergraduate enrollment policies to more high school students, helping them make better choices when it comes to choosing a college.
