Campus-wide staff exercise program launched

To enhance faculty and staff’s health awareness, promote their physical and mental well-being, and foster a positive campus culture, the Labor Union of TU has coordinated a campus-wide intermission exercise initiative, with active participation from branch unions.

On March 10, the staff exercise program officially rolled out across TU campuses. Branch unions creatively tailored exercise spaces to local conditions: mirrors in dance studios reflected synchronized movements, corridors transformed into rhythmic passageways, and central plazas became hubs for group workouts. Following broadcast exercise commands, faculty and staff kept pace with instructors’ demonstrations, transitioning from stretching to full-body movements, each motion radiating vitality. The campuses soon buzzed with energetic activity, as the program evolved into a beloved daily ritual.

Currently, during the extended break period from 9:25 to 9:45 each morning, the exercises have become an effective way for staff to relax themselves. Many noted that while the 20-minute session is brief, it provides meaningful physical relief and alleviates work-related stress.

To further amplify the program’s impact, the University Labor Union will host an official launch ceremony. Additionally, a staff exercise competition will be organized to incentivize participation and assess progress, ensuring deeper integration of the initiative across campuses. These efforts have not only enriched campus life but also injected fresh energy into building a healthier, more harmonious university culture.
