On the afternoon of April 2nd, TU held the launching ceremony of the Logistic Staff Vocational Competition & Chef Cooking Competition on the first floor of the cafeteria at Jiaojiang Campus. Yang Jianguo, Vice President and Member of the CPC TU Committee, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Zhu Qingqing, the chairman of the third branch union, presided over the launching ceremony.

Launching Ceremony
At the launching ceremony, Yang pointed out that the theme of the activity is “promoting the spirit of craftsmanship and improving service quality.” This is an important measure to deeply study and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of CPC, vigorously promote the “spirit of craftsmanship,” lead logistic staff to work together and continuously improve the service quality. He also put forward three hopes for the activity: to enhance the ideological understanding of job achievement activities; to demonstrate the good spirit and demeanor of logistic staff; to achieve practical results in various activities to continuously improve logistic satisfaction, comprehensively enhance the quality of logistic services, and effectively establish a logistic culture brand.

At the launching ceremony, Wang Qiufang, the director of the Logistic Service Management Department, introduced the logistic staff vocational competition. Wang Jinbao, the full-time vice chairman of the university union, announced the official launch of the competition. At the ceremony, awards were also presented to the restaurant stalls that won the 2025 TU Food List.

Cake-cutting ceremony
The subsequent Chef Cooking Competition was exciting and competitive. Seven chef representatives selected by each canteen completed the production of traditional dishes in the university canteen within the specified time, such as sweet and sour pork ribs and stir-fried pork slices. In the competition, each contestant showed off their unique skills in cutting, frying, and stir-frying in front of the cookers, which has demonstrated their extraordinary culinary skills. After judges’ evaluation of the taste, texture, impression, knife skills, and nutritional hygiene standards, Fan Long from Kangnuo Restaurant won the first place, Xu Bo from Delicious Restaurant the second place, and Feng Xuchao from Kangnuo Restaurant and Liu Xu from Benben Bear Restaurant the third place. Before the activity, the canteens carefully prepared delicious Dim-sum for teachers and students to taste.

The series of Logistic Staff Vocational Competition activities were hosted by the university union and organized by the third branch union. Next, according to the plan, vocational competitions such as greening skills, dormitory management services, driving skills, and water, electricity, and water maintenance will be carried out successively, so as to further optimize the quality of logistic services, promote the new development of our logistic industry, and contribute logistic strength to the construction of the “Four Kinds of TU.”
Present at the activity were also heads of Basic Construction Management Department, Logistic Service Management Department, Bidding Center and University Union, as well as cafeteria staff and students.
