At the beginning of the event, Wang Jieru, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Art and Design, presided over the opening ceremony and encouraged the students to step out of the internet and the dormitory, and to move towards the playground for jogging. After receiving such gifts as fluorescent sticks, fluorescent wristbands, and college cards, the participants conducted warm-up preparations under the guidance of student heads. With the exciting “321” countdown and the sound of salutes, “Let’s Run with Art” fluorescent night jogging event officially started.

The event also invited students majoring in music from the School of Art and Design to give performances. In the passionate singing, the students encouraged each other, lighting up the campus with fluorescent lights. The beautiful scenery attracted the attention of both teachers and students to join in the night jogging team one after another. The entire route was 2 km, with check-in points at the end. After completing the night jogging, the students can participate in the lottery activity and receive carefully- prepared prizes.

The fluorescent night jogging event is also a class integrating “art, sports, ideological and political education” for the students, which not only helps them to relax in the tense study life, but also showcases their positive and collaborative spirit. The School of Art and Design will continue to build a “big art+” model to further integrate art education and ideological and political education. By innovating the activity forms and contents, a “big classroom” integrating aesthetic education and ideological and political education will be built to combine education with art, nurture heart with morality, and cultivate people with culture, thus writing a “big article” of cultivating and nurturing people with virtue.
