On March 15th, with the final smash hitting the ground, the 6th University Staff Badminton Match came to a successful conclusion at the Badminton Gymnasium of Jiaojiang Campus. The match, hosted by the university union and organized by the Badminton Association, has attracted nearly 200 faculty members from 18 different clubs across the university, presenting a vibrant sports feast with full enthusiasm and superb skills. After fierce competition, the representative team of the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture stood out and won the championship, while the School of Art and Design and the School of Pharmaceutical and Chemical Engineering won second and third place respectively.

The competition is a mixed team event. On the field, the faculty athletes showcased teams’ coordinated attack and defense, as well as the brilliant display of individual skills, with flexible positioning, powerful dunking, clever dribbling, and their transition between offense and defense. The women’s doubles from the representative team of the First Branch of the Administrative Organization repeatedly defeated strong opponents with light steps, the men’s doubles from the School of Pharmaceutical and Chemical Engineering scored frequently with tacit cooperation and the representative team of the School of Electronics & Information Engineering won rounds of applause with clever tactical combinations. Each secondary branch union attached great importance to the match, and relevant leaders cheered and supported the team members at the match scene. Cheers from various cheerleading groups echoed one after another, pushing the atmosphere of the arena to one climax after another. After a series of round and knockout matches, the final ranking has been settled: teams from the School of Electronics & Information Engineering, the School of Teacher Education (Physical Education), the First Branch of the Administrative Organization, the School of Foreign Languages, and the School of Medicine won the fourth to eighth places respectively.

The figure of waving and competing, as well as the unyielding cry on the sports field, have become the most beautiful scenery in the spring campus, which will also inspire all teachers and students to devote themselves to future work and study with a more vigorous attitude.
