TU holds 2025 “Voices of the Campus, Echoes of Youth” Top Ten Singers Competition

TU’s 2025 Campus Top Ten Singers Competition was held at the Music Hall of the School of Art and Design on the evening of April 19. Judges included Pan Yao, Secretary of TU Youth League Committee; Guo Jianbo from Taizhou News Media Center; and Ding Jingling, instructor of TU Student Art Troupe. Over 400 teachers and students attended the event.

Opening Ceremony

Fifteen finalists, selected through rigorous preliminaries and semi-finals, competed for the top honors. The final kicked off with last year’s third-place winner Wu Fan from the School of Art and Design who sang A-Chu Girl.

Competition highlights

The final comprised two rounds: the Top 10 Qualification and the Championship Round Standout performances. Huang Anqi (School of Art and Design) stunned the audience with Next Moon. He Junjie (School of Teacher Education) earned thunderous applause for his soulful rendition of Thinking of You. Wang Zixuan (School of Art and Design) moved listeners with I Miss You So Much. Sun Jian (School of Teacher Education) delivered Tearful Goodbye with raw emotion. Xue Hao (School of Art and Design) blended traditional and modern elements in Riding the White Horse. Li Zhenhao (School of Teacher Education) stirred nostalgia with Where’s the Promised Happiness? Chai Yilun (School of Teacher Education) mesmerized with Quicksand. Zhang Yue (School of Foreign Languages) moved audiences with The Prose Poem Written by My Father. Qiu Yu (School of Art and Design) dazzled with If I Ain’t Got You.

After judging, the title “Top Ten Campus Singers” was awarded to: Ma Zhiyan, Qiu Yu, Wang Youyou, Xue Hao, Zhu Shidi, Hou Siyu, Wang Zixuan, Xu Ke’er, Zhang Yue, and Huang Anqi.

Championship round

In the final showdown, Qiu Yu claimed the championship with her showstopping performance of Teeth. Ma Zhiyan from School of Business and Wang Youyou from School of Pharmaceutical Sciences secured second and third places.
