Nearly 50 international students from Bangladesh, Vietnam, Pakistan, India, and other countries embarked on an eye-opening “Journey into Smart Manufacturing” at Jack Technology Co., Ltd., a global leader in the sewing equipment industry on April 24. Led by Wang Aiqin, Vice Director (Chair) of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department of TU, the visit aimed to broaden international students’ horizons and strengthen university-enterprise collaboration. Jack’s Deputy General Manager of Human Resources, Wu Minhui, and Channel Sales Manager for India, Wei Liudi, warmly welcomed the group, engaging them in in-depth exchanges on industrial innovation and international talent development.

Visiting Digital Exhibition Hall
Guided by staff, the students toured Jack’s digital exhibition hall, sewing machine museum, and product showcase. The company’s global footprint—with products sold in over 170 countries and R&D centers spanning Europe and Southeast Asia—left the visitors in awe. At the sewing machine museum, the group witnessed the evolution from traditional mechanical devices to AI-driven smart systems. “In my country, I’ve seen people who use old-fashioned sewing machines, but Jack’s intelligent models are revolutionary!” remarked Pakistani student Ullah Kaleem.
The tour concluded with a themed presentation by He Su, Assistant to Jack’s Overseas Political Commissar Office, who detailed the company’s global strategy, technological innovations, and talent cultivation programs. During a lively Q&A session, students raised questions about career growth support, essential skills, and corporate values. Bangladeshi student Arpon Md expressed hopes to leverage his language skills and expertise in future roles at Jack.
