“Voice of Traffic Safety” Song Competition held

The first week of May is TU’s second Safe Campus Week. On the evening of May 8th, the“Voice of Traffic Safety” Song Competition, hosted by TU’s Security Department and Traffic Police Bureau of Taizhou Public Security Bureau, was held at the Music Hall of the School of Art and Design, aiming to further enhance the awareness of traffic safety among our students and create a good campus safety atmosphere. Guests present at the activity were Chen Yali (Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the Traffic Police Bureau of Taizhou Public Security Bureau), Lin Hanyang (Deputy Director of the school Security Department), Cheng Zhengbing (Director of First Brigade, First Squadron, Traffic Police Bureau, Taizhou Public Security Bureau) and Xu Hailiang (campus police officer).

In the competition, the contestants have showcased their strengths. Some attracted continuous applause with lively melodies, catchy lyrics and harmonious dance moves, while some made the audience feel the power behind traffic safety in their passionate voices. Zhou Bangbang, a police officer from Xianju County Traffic Police Brigade, brought the audience a class on traffic safety — “Don’t Let Speed ruin Youth.” Wang Weiwei, a traffic police officer, brought everyone a passionate song, “Run.” Immersed in the wonderful singing and cool dancing, unconsciously the knowledge of traffic safety was deeply rooted in students’ minds.

The competition was evaluated from singing skills, song lyrics, and the compatibility with the theme of traffic safety. After fierce competition, the song “Safety Hero” submitted by the School of Foreign Languages won the championship with its outstanding performance and perfect interpretation of traffic safety.

This competition has perfectly integrated traffic safety education with music, and contributed to the construction of a safe campus culture in an innovative way by rooting traffic safety awareness deeply in the hearts of every teacher and student.
