In the 5th Zhejiang Provincial University Teachers’ Teaching Innovation Competition (Experimental Skills Specialized Track) held at Hangzhou Normal University from June 7th to 8th, three teachers (teams) from Taizhou University, Zhao Qihan, Liang Huaqiu, and Guo Renqing, won first prize in the Experimental Teaching Competition (Science, Engineering, Agriculture, and Medicine Group), first prize in the Self-Made Experimental Teaching Instrument and Equipment Competition, and third prize, achieving a historic breakthrough for the university in this competition. The university also received the Excellent Organization Award for its outstanding organizational work.

The competition, guided by Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education and hosted by Zhejiang Higher Education Association, was co-organized by the Laboratory Work Branch of Zhejiang Higher Education Association, Zhejiang Normal University, and Hangzhou Normal University. It features two categories: Experimental Teaching Competition and Self-Made Experimental Teaching Instrument and Equipment Competition. It focuses on experimental teaching innovation and instrument equipment development. It is a high-level event in the field of experimental teaching in provincial universities. After online evaluation of 154 entries from across the province, 77 teachers (teams) advanced to the on-site final, ultimately resulting in 12 first prizes, 27 second prizes, and 38 third prizes.

Participating teachers
In recent years, aiming to “cultivate applied innovative talents,” Taizhou University has established a preparation mechanism of “university-level selection— expert guidance—resource support.” The Teaching Affairs Office, in collaboration with departments like the State-Owned Assets Management Office, conducted multiple rounds of refinement for the participating projects, inviting industry experts and renowned teachers for one-on-one guidance. The excellent results in this competition are a concentrated reflection of the effectiveness of Taizhou University’s faculty development and provide valuable experience for experimental teaching innovation in universities across the province. The university will take this as a new starting point, strive diligently and courageously on the journey of high-quality development in higher education, and achieve more in education.
