Flag presentation ceremony
At the ceremony, Xiang Fengri delivered a mobilization speech. He first affirmed the distinctive and diverse thematic activities carried out by Taizhou University in recent years. He encouraged students to step out of campus and effectively integrate the “small classroom” of ideological education with the “big classroom” of society to learn, grow, and contribute.
Regarding the upcoming practice activity, he raised three hopes and requirements for the students:
First, to cultivate deep patriotic sentiment. Second, to develop strong practical skills. Third, to serve and contribute to society.
Finally, he called on the students to ensure their safety while taking root in the vast land of the motherland through summer social practice. He urged them to go deep into the grassroots levels, among the masses, and into reality. By understanding social conditions and perceiving development changes, they should transform their findings into services for the grassroots, research reports, and policy consultations. He concluded by stating that they should write the TU chapter of “Youth Shouldering the Responsibility for Chinese Modernization” with practical actions.

This year, the university has adopted the theme “Youth Shouldering the Responsibility for Chinese Modernization.” Based on the development needs of Zhejiang Province and Taizhou City, the program is organized on two levels: (1) Focused Practice: 114 practice teams organized by various schools and departments will carry out concentrated summer activities. (2) Dispersed Practice: Students will return to their hometowns to participate in thematic activities such as “San Xia Xiang,” “Returning to Hometown,” and “Thousand Posts for Thousand Youths.”
