Seven micro-programs filed on CHSI platform

Seven of Taizhou University’s micro-programs passed recently PRC Ministry of Education review and became the first batch ever filed on the CHSI (China Higher Education Student Information) platform, giving 2025 graduates an extra edge in an increasingly competitive job market.

In accordance with the requirements outlined in the Notice of the Department of Student Affairs, Ministry of Education on Carrying out the First Batch of Review and Inclusion for the “Double Thousand Plan” “Micro-Programs” (No. 22 [2025]), the first batch of “Micro-Programs” to be included in the repository must meet the following criteria:

having passed the review and filing process with the provincial education department, having graduates from the class of 2025 who completed all training requirements prior to leaving the university, effectively enhancing employability, and having robust teaching support and standardized training.

The seven micro-programs submitted by Taizhou University—Engineer Literacy, Audiovisual Cultural and Creative Design, Cross-Border E-Commerce, International Mechanical Project Management, Intelligent Machine Tools, Microfinance, and Intellectual Property Operation and Management—all meet the above requirements and have passed the review. Graduates and employers may log into the CHSI website to inquire about the filing and enrollment details of these micro-programs.

The successful selection of these seven micro-programs for the first batch included in the Ministry of Education’s CHSI repository is attributed to the university’s early planning and high emphasis on micro-program development. To foster the cultivation of inter-disciplinary and innovative application-oriented talent and to enhance the alignment between academic training and the demands of career development, the university formulated the “Taizhou University Pilot Implementation Plan for ‘1+X’ Micro-Program Talent Cultivation” in 2021, exploring reforms in the talent training model for micro-programs.

To date, a total of four batches comprising 15 pilot micro-program talent cultivation projects have been approved. From 2022 to 2024, micro-programs have been offered to three consecutive cohorts, with a total enrollment of 406 students university-wide. So far, two cohorts of micro-program students have graduated, totaling 184 individuals.

The successful inclusion of the seven micro-programs in the first batch not only reflects the achievements of our university’s long-term commitment to exploring and implementing high-quality application-oriented talent cultivation models but also provides strong support for enhancing graduates’ employment competitiveness. Looking ahead, the university will continue to dedicate efforts to optimizing the “1+X” Micro-Program system, closely aligning with industry needs, and continuously improving teaching quality, with the aim of better assisting students in achieving quality employment.
