Provincial Key Laboratory for Restoration of Coastal Damaged Ecosystems inaugurated at CECEP TIEHAN

Provincial Key Laboratory for Restoration of Coastal Damaged Ecosystems was recently inaugurated at cooperative organization CECEP TIEHAN Ecological Environment Co., Ltd. Li Junmin, Vice President and CPC Party Committee Member of Taizhou University and Director of the Key Laboratory, Zhao Kai, Dean of the School of Life Sciences and Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory, Chen Haitang, CPC Party Secretary and Chairman of the cooperative organization Taizhou Environmental Science Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Yang Kaihua, Director and Executive General Manager (seconded) of CECEP TIEHAN Ecological Environment Co., Ltd., jointly unveiled the plaque for the Key Laboratory. Relevant directors from the School of Life Sciences and CECEP TIEHAN attended the event.

Inauguration Ceremony

At the subsequent symposium, Li Junmin delivered a speech, stating that the establishment of the Provincial Key Laboratory for Restoration of Coastal Damaged Ecosystems is an important measure focusing on major national and Zhejiang Provincial strategic needs and seizing the high ground in scientific and technological competition. Promoting the joint establishment and sharing of the laboratory with leading domestic enterprises in the field of ecological restoration is an inevitable requirement for optimizing the allocation of scientific and technological resources and enhancing the efficiency of the innovation system. She expressed hope that the cooperative organization CECEP TIEHAN would take this inauguration as a new starting point, fully leverage its own advantages, collaborate closely with the main body of the laboratory in talent exchange, project research, research results transformation, and resource sharing, form a joint innovative force, and collectively build the laboratory into a “new highland” that leads original innovation, breaks through key core technologies, gathers high-level talent, and conducts high-level academic exchange.

Yang Kaihua stated that in the future, they would strictly follow the laboratory’s overall planning and deployment, fully invest superior resources, earnestly fulfill cooperative responsibilities, deeply participate in the laboratory’s construction and operational management, and contribute their due share to the laboratory’s output of major landmark achievements and the enhancement of the province’s basic and applied research levels. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the subsequent construction and development of the Key Laboratory.

A technical cooperation signing ceremony was also held during the meeting. The agreement clarifies the rights and obligations of all parties regarding resource sharing, technological R&D, and talent cultivation, marking a solid step forward for our university in building a high-level scientific and technological innovation platform system.

Before the meeting, participants visited the CECEP TIEHAN corporate exhibition hall, gaining a detailed understanding of CECEP’s overview and its “3+3+1” industrial layout, as well as the company’s development history, main businesses, business layout, and scientific and technological innovation.
