More than 200 “Taixiaoqing” volunteers from Taizhou University have provided their help since the kickoff of the provincial mass basketball event—Zhejiang Urban Basketball League (abbreviated as ZJBA) tournament this summer. The event is organized by Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, Zhejiang Radio and Television Group, and the people’s governments of various prefecture-level cities.

Volunteers participated in the service for every round of games played at Taizhou. During the preparation of game materials, they meticulously completed the bagging and distribution of each item. During ticket checking, they carefully verified tickets and guided the audience, ensuring orderly entry. During the matches, they went through various areas of the court, maintaining order while promptly providing help when the audience need.
As of this week, the “Taixiaoqing” volunteers have served 4 matches. During this period, volunteers have cumulatively bagged and distributed over 12,000 tournament packs and guided more than 9,000 spectators. In the hot summer, they embodied the volunteer spirit of “dedication, friendship, mutual aid, and progress” with their work, which has won unanimous praise from the event organizers and the audience. Their service will continue until the end of this season.
