Young medical staff from affiliated hospitals of Taizhou University won several prizes in the finals of the Zhejiang Young Medical Staff Practical Innovation Competition held from September 26th to 27th at Zhejiang Chinese Medical University. Duan Shaojie from Taizhou Central Hospital won the Special Prize in the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) group. Lang Jiawang from Taizhou Municipal Hospital won the First Prize in the TCM group. Ye Yuping and Li Lu from Taizhou Hospital won the Second Prize in the TCM group. Zhang Ruibiao and Feng Jiahuan from Taizhou Hospital won the Second Prize in the Medical Technology group. The young staff, led by Wang Jinbao, Executive Vice Chairman of Taizhou University Workers Union, went through project roadshows and on-site defenses, and finally demonstrated their capability.

The competition was hosted by Zhejiang Provincial Trade Union, undertaken by Zhejiang Provincial Education Trade Union, and co-organized by Zhejiang Chinese Medical University. It is a practical innovation competition specifically for young medical staff in university-affiliated hospitals. The competition is divided into three categories: Clinical group, Traditional Chinese Medicine group, and Medical Technology group.
Since the promulgation of competition notice in early July, Taizhou University Workers Union meticulously organized the university’s four affiliated hospitals (Taizhou Hospital, Taizhou Central Hospital, Taizhou Municipal Hospital, Wenling First People’s Hospital) to participate. Affiliated hospital submitted a total of 15 projects for the competition, including: 8 from Taizhou Hospital; 2 from Taizhou Central Hospital; 2 from Taizhou Municipal Hospital; and 3 from Wenling First People’s Hospital. After the preliminary rounds, 6 projects advanced to the finals.
