Zhejiang New Materials Professional Textbook Research Base held a seminar on the integrated construction of discipline and professional textbooks on November 2 to 3 at Taizhou University. Vice President Han Deman attended the event. The seminar was chaired by Jin Yanxian, Director of the Science and Technology Department and head of the Teaching Materials Research Base.
At the meeting, Han Deman and Jin Linghong, Director of the Teaching Affairs Office, presented appointment letters to Professor Ju Huangxian, Professor Zhou Dongmei, Professor Xia Xinghua, Professor Xu Jingjuan, Professor Jiang Dechen, Professor Zhao Weiwei, and Professor Zhu Wenlei from Nanjing University, as well as Professor Xie Wei and Researcher Wang Huan from Nankai University, officially appointing them as specially invited academic advisors for the Teaching Materials Research Base.
Jin Yanxian delivered a report titled “Report on the Zhejiang Provincial New Materials Professional Teaching Materials Research Base” on behalf of the university. The report systematically summarized the base’s practical experience and phased achievements in areas such as teaching materials research and development innovation, integration of high-quality resources, and promotion of industry-education integration, which comprehensively showcased the university’s exploration and achievements in the construction of new materials professional teaching materials.

Following the report, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on the integrated development of “discipline—program—teaching materials,” focusing on key issues such as the linkage mechanism between the development of new materials disciplines and the dynamic updating of textbook content, the transformation pathways of cutting-edge industrial technologies and research findings into textbook content, and innovative models for joint textbook development between universities, local governments, and enterprises. A series of constructive consensuses were formed.
This thematic seminar not only provided a high-quality platform for the exchange of textbook development experiences among universities but also promoted the precise alignment of new materials discipline development, textbook updates, and industry demands. It strengthened the foundation of textbook development for cultivating high-quality applied talents who meet the needs of industry development and injected strong momentum into the process. The participating experts conducted an in-depth visit and investigation of the Zhejiang New Materials Professional Teaching Materials Research Base, gaining firsthand insight into the achievements of the base’s construction. They highly praised its accomplishments in areas such as teaching material development and the integration of industry and education.
