The 8th “Top Ten Innovation and Entrepreneurship Pioneers” Selection Event was concluded on November 13 at the Student Activity Center of the Jiaojiang Campus. Li Jianjun, Vice President and Party Committee Member of Taizhou University; Zhou Yao, Dean of the Entrepreneurship School; Pan Yao, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, along with members of the University’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Guidance Committee and deputy secretaries from sub-schools and colleges, as well as guest judges including Chen Wenting, Deputy Director of Taizhou Employment Service Center, and Zhou Hengba, Executive General Manager of Hengbo Holding Co., Ltd., participated in the event. They were joined by over 200 student representatives from 14 schools and colleges across both campuses.

Event Scene
Li Jianjun delivered a speech at the event. He acknowledged the achievements of the participating students and encouraged university students to embrace change with an “empty cup mindset,” integrate resources with a “symbiotic thinking,” and adhere to their starting aspirations with “long-termism,” and continuously advance on the path of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Contestants’ Highlights
At the event, 29 contestants from various sun-schools and colleges were divided into two groups, “Innovation Pioneers” and “Entrepreneurship Pioneers,” and took turns delivering roadshow presentations. Each contestant had 5 minutes to comprehensively showcase their innovation and entrepreneurship projects and achievements through formats such as PPT presentations and videos. The contestants’ presentations covered a wide range of content, including cutting-edge technological innovations and practical entrepreneurial initiatives closely related to people’s livelihoods, fully demonstrating the innovative spirit and entrepreneurial enthusiasm of TU students.

Judges’ Voting
Following the roadshow, members of the University’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Guidance Committee, expert reviewers, and guest judges cast their votes based on the contestants’ performances. The voting process strictly adhered to the principles of fairness, impartiality, and transparency.
Ultimately, ten students were selected as the university’s “Top Ten Innovation and Entrepreneurship Pioneers,” and they were awarded honorary certificates along with a reward of 10,000 yuan.
Under the theme “Youth Building Dreams, Innovation Winning the Future,” this selection activity aims to further strengthen the university’s innovation and entrepreneurship education, inspiring students to actively engage in innovative and entrepreneurial practices.
The successful organization of this event not only provided students with a valuable platform to showcase their talents and pursue their aspirations, but also ignited a widespread enthusiasm for innovation and entrepreneurship across the campus. In doing so, it has injected fresh vitality into the continued and in-depth development of the university’s innovation and entrepreneurship education.
