On the evening of January 4, the launch ceremony for the 2026 centralized winter vacation social practice activities, themed “Gratitude to Alma Mater, Voice for Taizhou University”, was held at Jiaojiang Campus. Li Jianjun, Vice President and Member of the University Party Committee, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. More than 100 participants were present, including heads of the Academic Affairs Office (Admissions Office) and the University Youth League Committee, as well as teacher and student representatives from all secondary colleges.
In his speech, Li Jianjun emphasized that social practice is a crucial part of the university’s efforts to fulfill the fundamental mission of fostering virtue through education and cultivate high-quality application-oriented talents. He noted that the university will continue to deepen the connotation of practical education, strive to enhance students’ sense of family and country, innovative spirit and practical capabilities, and encourage more students to actively engage in social practice, where they can grow through experience and gain true knowledge.
He put forward five requirements for the participants of this winter vacation social practice: First, cherish gratitude and hold a deep affection for the alma mater, translating gratitude to the university and teachers into concrete actions to sincerely share their college growth. Second, bravely shoulder missions and show their best demeanor, devoting themselves to practice with full enthusiasm, professional literacy and civilized behavior. Third, strictly observe disciplines and follow arrangements, consciously complying with the management regulations of their high school alma maters to demonstrate the good organization and discipline of the university’s students. Fourth, prioritize safety and take prevention as the first principle, enhancing safety awareness, keeping communication unobstructed, and ensuring the entire practice process is safe and orderly. Fifth, be diligent in reflection and good at summarizing, testing what they have learned in practice, improving their understanding through thinking, and achieving all-round development of personal abilities and comprehensive qualities.
At the ceremony, Wu Zichen, a 2024-grade student majoring in Elementary Education (Teacher Education), spoke on behalf of all social practice participants, expressing the determination and confidence of the entire team.

Jin Linghong, Director of the Academic Affairs Office and Admissions Office, and Pan Yao, Secretary of the University Youth League Committee, jointly presented activity badges and work IDs to the student representatives of the 2026 winter vacation social practice, and awarded flags to each practice team.
It is learned that after going through procedures such as individual application, interview, and university team formation, a total of 95 practice teams involving more than 440 students were formed for the 2026 winter vacation social practice. The practice scope covers 8 provinces (autonomous regions) across the country. Carrying the university’s expectations and entrustment, each practice team will go to various high schools to conduct social practice activities, fulfilling the responsibilities and missions of contemporary college students with practical actions and contributing their youth to the society.
