TU’s Loong and Lion Dance Team achieves excellent results in the Yangtze River Delta Loong and Lion Open Competition

Recently, the 2026 National Loong and Lion Joint Activity Zhejiang Branch Venue and Yangtze River Delta Dragon and Lion Open Competition kicked off in Keqiao District, Shaoxing City. Twenty outstanding teams from the Yangtze River Delta and Zhejiang Province competed on the same stage. With exquisite performance skills and tacit team cooperation, our university’s Loong and Lion Dance Team won the first prizes both in the Optional Loong Dance and the Traditional Lion Dance.

Led by Qin Yude, Vice Dean of the College of Teacher Education (Physical Education), and under the joint careful guidance of coaches Luo Xiwen and Ye Ting, the university’s Loong and Lion Dance Team performed with neat movements and tacit cooperation. The loong dance soared and circled with great momentum, while the lion dance climbed high and jumped over tables in a neat and neat manner. Every movement demonstrated solid training foundation and strong team cohesion.

This Yangtze River Delta Loong and Lion Open Competition is not only a high-level sports event, but also an in-depth collision of cultural exchanges in the Yangtze River Delta region. It serves as a link to activate regional cultural inheritance and promote the coordinated development of culture and sports in the Yangtze River Delta.
