The 2nd Taizhou University Faculty Tennis Tournament concluded

The 2nd Faculty Tennis Tournament of Taizhou University was held from April 18 to 19 at the tennis courts of Linhai Campus. Hosted by the University Labor Union and organized by the University Tennis Association, the tournament attracted active participation from faculty and staff across all departments. After two days of intense competition, all individual awards were announced, and the event came to a successful conclusion in a warm, harmonious, and united atmosphere.

This year’s tournament featured a strong lineup of competitors and delivered outstanding performances, with remarkable highlights throughout. In the men’s singles event, Ren Zhaoxiang claimed the championship with steady play and exquisite skills, while Ji Geng and Bai Liang secured the runner-up and third-place titles, respectively. The women’s singles competition was fiercely contested, with Huang Tingmei excelling to take the championship, followed by Li Hongqin in second place and Qi Xiang in third. The doubles events were equally thrilling. In the men’s doubles, Lu Jianbo and Bai Liang demonstrated excellent coordination and overwhelming momentum to win the championship, while Hu Yongliang and Dai Xiaojie, as well as Yan Zhenzhong and Liu Yanping, finished as runner-up and third-place pair, respectively. In the mixed doubles, Lu Jianbo and Li Hongqin teamed up effectively and delivered a standout performance to successfully claim the title, with Dai Xiaojie and Huang Tingmei, and Ren Zhaoxiang and Pan Beibei, taking the runner-up and third-place positions, respectively.

In the singles matches, everyone responded calmly and strived to excel; in the doubles competitions, partners coordinated offense and defense with seamless teamwork. The players were full of energy and agile in posture, executing serves, smashes, and volleys with skillful precision and fluidity.
