According to the list of recognized outstanding teaching cases for professional degree postgraduate programs in 2025 and the list of outstanding innovation achievements for professional degree postgraduate programs in 2024 in Zhejiang Province released by Zhejiang Graduate Education Society, two projects from Taizhou University have been selected respectively as outstanding postgraduate teaching case and outstanding innovation project for professional degree postgraduate programs in Zhejiang Province.
The project recognized as teaching case was led by Professor Hu Feng from the School of Business. Focusing on the village of Tahou in Tiantai, Zhejiang, and set against the backdrop of rural revitalization, the case analyzes the collaborative development model of the “discipline chain—cultural chain—industrial chain,” exploring solutions to practical challenges such as rural cultural transformation, talent retention, and industrial linkage. Integrating theory with practice, this case aligns well with the teaching realities of the Master of Tourism Management program and offers significant demonstrative and reference value.
The project “Development and Pilot Study of a Floating Magnetic MoS₂ Chitosan Composite Sponge Water Treatment Agent,” supervised by Professor Jiang Ru from the School of Life Sciences and completed by 2023 master’s student Xiao Mei, has been recognized as outstanding innovation project. This project closely aligns with industry demands and trends, demonstrating both academic innovation and practical applicability. It fully showcases the ability to solve real-world problems and reflects the solid professional foundation and innovative thinking of TU professional degree postgraduates.
In recent years, the university has adhered to the fundamental task of fostering virtue and cultivating talents, focusing on the training orientation of professional degree postgraduates. It has continuously deepened educational and teaching reforms, promoting the integration of case-based teaching, practical teaching, and innovation education. The recognition of these two projects as provincial-level excellent achievements not only affirms the university’s postgraduate education efforts but also reflects the distinctive features and effectiveness of its professional degree postgraduate training and teaching reforms.
Moving forward, the university will leverage the exemplary and leading role of these outstanding achievements, strengthen the development of teaching cases and the cultivation of innovative outcomes, optimize training models, enhance the quality of education, and propel postgraduate education to new heights.
