On the afternoon of September 17, the 2026 Taizhou University “Tailong Star” International Exchange Growth Fund Project Sharing Session was successfully held on Jiaojiang Campus. Present at the event were Cai Hanzi (Vice Chairperson and Project Director of Zhejiang Tailong Charity Foundation), Guo Jiahao (Project Manager), Li Xiaojun (General Manager of Human Resources Department of Taizhou Branch of Tailong Bank), and Li Jianjun (Vice President and Member of the Party Committee of Taizhou University). Relevant heads of the university’s Student Affairs Department, Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, and Education Development Foundation, along with leading teachers and representatives of assisted students, participated in the activity to jointly review the achievements of the summer study visit and exchange insights for further cooperation. The meeting was chaired by Wang Aiqin, Deputy Director (Acting Director) of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation.

At the sharing session
Li Jianjun, on behalf of the university, expressed gratitude for their support for the university’s development and the growth of young students, and extended congratulations to the students who had successfully completed their study visits. Encouraging the students with “Go out to see the world”, “Express yourself to build confidence”, “See the world and understand China”, and “Be helped, and then help others”, he hoped that students would broaden their horizons and hone their abilities through international exchanges, strengthen cultural confidence while understanding cultural differences, turn the assistance they received into motivation for personal growth, and pass on the goodwill of public welfare. He also stated that the university is willing to deepen cooperation with the Foundation to jointly build “Tailong Star” into “public welfare with warmth, education with depth, and a brand with sustainability”.
Cai Hanzi introduced the Foundation’s original aspiration for public welfare and its project practices, hoping that students would combine an international perspective with professional development, clarify their growth direction and enhance their overall competitiveness through exchange and learning, and in the future could give back to society. Li Xiaojun, drawing on the bank’s talent cultivation and career development needs, shared the significance of sincerity, steadfastness, resilience, learning ability, and intrinsic motivation for young people’s growth, and then encouraged students to learn, practice, and keep improving the ability to adapt to society and job requirements.
During the sharing session, representatives of the assisted students shared their study visit experience at the University of Malaya, focusing on course learning, cultural experiences, and personal growth. From the initial nervousness in all-English classrooms to actively participating in discussions and delivering speeches in English, from learning business communication methods to understanding cultural differences in daily interactions, the students have benefited greatly from the study visit. They said that it has not only improved their English expression, teamwork, and independent living abilities, but also cultivated their self-confidence, global perspective, and a grateful heart. Experiencing multiculturalism, they are now more willing to actively spread Chinese culture and share Chinese stories.
Sharing the project’s implementation as well as the students’ growth, the accompanying teacher Lin Juejun introduced how the students supported each other, exercised self-discipline and self-reliance, and actively participated in cultural exchanges during the study visit. After exchanges, “Tailong Star” certificates were awarded to the students.
After the student sharing session, staff from the Foundation held a discussion with the university’s project leaders and participating teachers on this year’s project implementation and future cooperation. Focusing on ways to optimize courses, improve logistical arrangements and increase exchanges with local students, the two sides also exchanged ideas on sharing teaching resources, documenting students’ development, establishing a follow-up system, so as to further extend the project’s educational outcomes.
