In order to increase productivity, lower cost, and facilitate system upgrading so as to be fit for flexible manufacturing, wireless control has become an inevitable tendency for intelligent factories in the future. It is necessary to develop specific wireless data transmission protocol of short packet at physical layer in response to the severest environment in reliability and latency in industrial wireless control.

The lecture, which is based on analysis of features of wireless channel in intelligent factories, expounds the basic strategies for the physical layer protocols of high-performance wireless communication, providing a feasible solution for low latency communication of short packet; it proposes to adopt channel coding to resist interference in factories, thus providing a research program package combining theoretical research and hardware testing for the fields alike; it also summarizes the research developments and challenges in the previous phase, as well as explores the orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) modulation mode for increasing its reliability in the future, and guessing random noise decoding to cope with series of pulse interference.
