Hu Jianmin, researcher and doctoral supervisor of the Institute of Geomechanics, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, is engaged in structural geology research. As a member of the Professional Committee of Structural Geology and Geodynamics of the Chinese Geological Society, and member of the National Regional Geological Survey Expert Committee, Hu Jianmin has published multiple academic works and one popular science book.
In this lecture, Professor Hu Jianmin introduced his three trips to the South Pole to explore the evidence of the final collision and collage of the South East Antarctic continent, as well as the vast difference from the South West Pole.
