Prof. Yu Nanping from the School of Politics and International Relations of East China Normal University delivered a lecture on national security at the invitation of TU’s School of Marxism on July 18. Zhang Tianhua, Dean of the School, Wang Sheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, Xu Peilin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, and teacher representatives of the School attended the lecture.
Prof. Yu pointed out that Taizhou is a large manufacturing city with a developed export-oriented economy and a high degree of foreign trade dependence. In the process of development, the new technological revolution, especially the high-speed development of artificial intelligence technology, has brought brand-new challenges to national security. In this context, the competition between technology and technological system, and even technological ecology, has become a common demand for the country to maintain and expand the flow of network nodes in the global value chain. Particular attention needs to be paid to national security-related issues. Research focus could be put on consulting countermeasures and empirical research.
After the lecture, the two sides talked over the issue of cooperation and agreed to take the establishment of the Research Center for Overall National Security Concept of Taizhou University as an opportunity to firm up the overall national security concept, further deepen the awareness of research on the concept, enhance the sense of responsibility and mission in safeguarding national security, and carry out national security education for all people.
