In order to cultivate high-level awards, the university invited professionals for special guidance on the afternoon of September 29th, including Professor Wang Xinyu and Associate Research Fellow Li Binbin from the State Key Laboratory of New Materials Composite Technology at Wuhan University of Technology, and Mr. Zhang Xuexun, the General Manager of Yirui Biotechnology Co., Ltd. It was also attended by the person in charge of the Science and Technology Department, the leadership team of the School of Life Sciences, the head of the Scientific Research Department of Taizhou Central Hospital and representatives from relevant departments, as well as relevant teachers from the university. The meeting was chaired by Jin Yanxian, Director of the Science and Technology Department.

The meeting introduced the overall scientific research situation of TU, stating that the uiniversity is committed to scientific and technological innovation, focusing on high-quality development, and promoting the integration of education, science, technology, and talent. Significant achievements have been made in national-level projects, provincial-level awards, and social services.

Professor Wang Xinyu gave high praise to TU’s rapid development in discipline construction, scientific research, and social services. Drawing on his rich experience in award applications, he provided a special lecture with cases on the background of award applications and key points in project defense. He also put forward four essential suggestions for the cultivation of award-winning results: First, the starting point should be national needs, focusing on solving current scientific research challenges; Second, it is necessary to highlight core technologies and innovation to ensure the uniqueness and advancement of the project; Third, it is important to strengthen cross-disciplinary cooperation among institutions to leverage each other’s technical strengths; Fourth, attention should be paid to the application and socio-economic benefits of the project, promoting the transformation and application of scientific research achievements.

After the special lecture, the participants had a thorough exchange with the expert on aspects such as award application cooperation models, material preparation, as well as promotion and application.

The meeting indicated that there was already a good foundation for cooperation between both sides. It was proposed to further deepen the cooperation, relying on the platform of the State Key Laboratory at Wuhan University of Technology, fully integrating various advantageous resources, and increasing the layout and planning for higher-level awards. The goal is to achieve breakthroughs in landmark results of scientific research during the process of the university’s “upgrading to a higher-level university, applying for doctoral degree programs, and striving for the first-class status.”
