At the invitation of the School of Business, Professor Mathiyazhagan from Thiagarajar School of Management, India, gave an online academic lecture on “Elevate your research: Author and Editor Insights for publishing in a reputed journal” on November 7.

Prof. Mathiyazhagan is a prolific young scholar and one of the top 2% scientists in the world. He is a member of the editorial boards of several prestigious SSCI journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of Knowledge Management, Management Decision, and others. His main research interests are green supply chain management and sustainable development. He is currently an editor and reviewer for several SSCI/SCI journals. From the perspective of authors and reviewers, Prof. Mathiyazhagan shared his experience in publishing papers in top journals, including how to accurately formulate a research question, conceptualize a reasonable framework for a journal paper, revise the paper according to the reviewers’ comments, and set up a research team. He also provided guidance on how to improve the quality of the article from the perspective of the reviewers, how to optimize the Cover Letter, and the considerations for responding to the reviewers’ comments.

Nearly 30 teachers of the School of Business participated in the lecture and had an active interaction with Prof. Mathiyazhagan. They reflected that they benefited a lot from this lecture which centered on writing papers to get published in foreign journals.
