Director Yu Xinhai from the Department of Applied Chemistry at Donghua University, at the invitation of Medical School of Taizhou University, delivered on June 16th an academic report titled “Molecular Structure Design, Preparation, and Application of Fluorinated Photosensitive Polyimides.” Medical School faculty and postgraduate students attended the event.
Director Yu Xinhai focused on five main areas: an overview of electronic chemicals, technology of fluorinated polyimide monomers and polymers, fundamentals of photochemical reactions, preparation and photosensitive mechanisms of fluorinated photosensitive polyimides, and their applications.
Director Yu detailed the molecular formulas and synthesis pathways of various materials, provided an in-depth introduction to the cutting-edge research and industrial application prospects of these materials, noting that several have been registered as trademarks and are used in important military fields.
Yu also shared his personal growth story, pointing out that talent and teams are indispensable for solving key “bottleneck” technological problems. Towards the end of the event, Yu engaged in in-depth discussions with faculty regarding the synthesis principles and application scenarios of these materials, providing guidance for teachers and students to explore the path of innovation in synthetic materials together.
