Incredible! Professor Zhang Minglong published over 100 papers in core CSSCI journals

Professor Zhang Minglong, the former Vice President of Taizhou University and the leader of the Famous Scholar’s Studio, was recognized as one of the most influential scholars in Chinese philosophy and social sciences in 2020. He began publishing his first paper in 1983 and has since had an incredible academic career spanning over 40 years. He has authored over 360 papers which have been published in various academic journals, theoretical editions of newspapers, internal reference materials, and conference proceedings. Three of his papers have been submitted to the Central Political Bureau as references for decision-making. Notably, one of his papers was published in both the Chinese and English versions of China Social Science, which is the top academic journal in the field of liberal arts in China.

Through the analysis of the selection system for domestic core journals or source journals, it is found that Professor Zhang’s papers have been published in 124 core journals of CSSCI (including previously selected and extended versions), 170 core journals of Peking University, and 284 source journals among all core journals. Throughout his 40-year academic career, Professor Zhang has consistently published an average of 3 papers per year in CSSCI core journals (including selected and extended versions), 4 papers per year in Peking University core journals, and 7 papers per year in all core journals.

Despite being retired, it is worth mentioning that Professor Zhang continues to dedicate himself to scientific research. Through his renowned studio, he focuses on fostering an academic atmosphere characterized by high professional standards and a well-structured echelon. His efforts aim to cultivate a group of highly skilled individuals with a strong theoretical foundation who can contribute to the urban economic development and social progress of Taizhou. He actively pursues research and explorations closely aligned with regional economic development. His contributions have significantly advanced the discipline of regional economics and contributed to Taizhou’s local social and economic development.
