Dr. Lu Qun publishes a research paper in a TOP journal

Dr. Lu Qun of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing has recently published a research paper in an internationally renowned top-tier journal IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica (JAS). The title of the paper is “Disturbance Rejection for Systems with Uncertainties Based on Fixed-time Equivalent-input-disturbance Approach” with Dr. Lu as the first author, Professor Xu Jinhua of Tokyo Institute of Technology the corresponding author, and TU the first author institution. Currently, JAS has an impact factor of 15.3, ranking first globally among the 85 journals in the JCR field of automation and control.

The equivalent input disturbance method is one of the effective disturbance suppression methods widely adopted in industry and academia. To further enhance the performance of the method in convergence and robustness, the paper improved the method and proposed a fixed-time equivalent input disturbance method, as shown in Figure 1. Based on Lyapunov stability theory and the small gain method, the paper analyzed the stability and robustness of the closed-loop system based on the method. The effectiveness of the proposed method was verified through simulation and experiment on the magnetic levitation ball system and the DC-DC buck converter circuit system.
