Recently, the book New Advances in the Field of Ocean Exploration Research, co-authored by Prof. Zhang Minglong and Dr. Zhang Qiongni (first author), has been published by Enterprise Management Press in 16mo format, with 441 pages and 439,000 words.
The oceans are rich in biological, mineral, and seawater resources, as well as abundant ocean and wind energy, and vast available space. As land resources struggle to meet rapidly growing social demands, looking to the ocean for food, minerals, energy, and wealth has become a strategic focus worldwide. Taizhou is a major coastal city, and the rational development of marine resources is crucial for supporting the city’s future economic growth.
Guided by modern marine science, this book systematically examined research results in marine exploration both domestically and internationally. It collected and organized relevant information from marine scientific research and development activities worldwide, carefully analyzing and synthesizing this information. Based on comprehensive original data, the authors extracted typical materials and designed a framework that reflects the current state of marine exploration research.
The book analyzed innovative approaches to various fields, including new methods for observing and forecasting the impacts of marine climate change, detecting marine geological features and implementing measures for geological hazard prevention, understanding the physiological characteristics and reproductive methods of marine organisms, exploiting and utilizing marine material, energy, and spatial resources, preventing and controlling marine pollution, protecting marine ecosystems, and developing specialized ships and instruments for marine exploration and detection.
