About the Author:
Li Jianjun holds a Ph.D. in Literature from Sichuan University and completed his postdoctoral research at the Institute for Ancient Books, Zhejiang University. He is currently a second-level professor at Taizhou University, where he also serves as a part-time researcher at the Center for Song Studies. He was a visiting scholar at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
In recent years, he has published over 70 academic papers in leading journals such as Literary Review, Literary Heritage, Journal of Peking University, and Journal of Beijing Normal University, including nearly 30 in CSSCI-indexed journals. His monographs include The Study of Spring and Autumn Annals in the Song Dynasty and Song-Type Culture, Research on the Zhejiang Eastern Literary School in the Song Dynasty, and The Intersection of Elegance and Popularity: A Study of the Symbiotic Relationship Between Song Dynasty Storytelling Scripts and Classical Chinese Fiction.
He has led three projects funded by the National Social Science Fund of China as well as several provincial-level research initiatives, including a major project under the Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Research Program. He has received nearly 20 research awards at or above the municipal level, among them nominations for the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award, and honors such as the Zhejiang Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Outstanding Achievement Award, the Taizhou City Philosophy and Social Sciences Outstanding Achievement Award, and the Cultural Dawn Award.
In the realm of teaching, he has earned over 20 accolades, including the Second Prize in the Fifth National University Teaching Innovation Competition and the Special Prize in the Fifth Zhejiang Provincial University Teaching Innovation Competition. He has also been recognized as an Outstanding Teacher of Zhejiang Province, a Provincial Outstanding University Teacher, and a recipient of the Provincial Fifth Moral Model Advanced Individual Award.
He has been selected for several prestigious talent programs, such as the “Five Batches” Talent Program of the Zhejiang Propaganda and Culture System, the Provincial “151 Talent Project,” the Provincial Young and Middle-Aged Academic Leaders in Higher Education Institutions, and the Provincial Zhijiang Young Social Science Scholars Program.
Professor Li serves as a peer review expert for the National Social Science Fund, a review expert for the Ministry of Education’s Humanities and Social Sciences Projects, a member of the Discipline Group of the Zhejiang Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Planning, a member of the Zhejiang Provincial Teaching Guidance Committee for Chinese Language and Literature Programs, and a standing council member of the Chinese Tang Poetry Road Research Association.
