Five students from TU participated in the 6th Yangtze River Delta Teaching Skills Competition for Normal Students recently held at Anhui Normal University, all of whom won prizes in the competition. Chen Ying and Wang Siyu from the School of Humanities won first and second prizes in the Secondary Chinese category. Chen Tingyu from the School of Teacher Education secured first place in the Primary Chinese category, while Wang Yitian and Zhu Xiaxi from the School of Marxism both won first prizes in the Ideo-political Education category.

The competition, jointly organized by the Education Department of Anhui Province, the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, the Education Department of Zhejiang Province, and the Education Department of Jiangsu Province, aims to advance the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta. It focuses on innovating training models for normal students, enhancing practical teaching skills, and cultivating a new generation of outstanding educators ready for future challenges.
Since the conclusion of the Zhejiang provincial teaching competition, TU has provided comprehensive support for the five selected contestants. During the finals, the participants demonstrated excellence in teaching design, implementation, reflection, philosophy, and methodology. Their success was underpinned by a dedicated advisory team offering expert guidance and rich teaching experience.
TU has consistently emphasized the principle of “excellence in teacher training,” focusing on developing students’ teaching skills and practical application. The university will continue to encourage participation in various competitions to lay a solid foundation for cultivating outstanding educators.
