TU student teams achieved outstanding results in the “Double Hundred, Double Entry” Taizhou College Students’ Summer Social Practice Competition held at Taizhou Vocational and Technical College on November 14. The event, organized by Taizhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, Taizhou Education Bureau, and Taizhou Students’ Union, featured university representatives, practice advisors, and student participants.
This year’s competition, themed Youth Taking Responsibility for Chinese Modernization, aligned with Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. It focused on ten key areas, including patriotism, cultural heritage, rural revitalization, grassroots services, national unity, common prosperity, environmental improvement and sustainability, as well as incorruptibility. Sixteen outstanding teams were selected for the finals.
Four teams from TU participated in the event. The “Eastern Zhejiang Tang Poetry Road” team from the School of Humanities conducted in-depth field research across nine counties in Taizhou and promoted cultural tourism. The “Red Bonds Across Mountains and Seas” team from the School of Marxism explored ethnic unity through exchanges between Alar of Xinjiang and Lishui and Taizhou of Zhejiang. Meanwhile, the “Shared Prosperity Workshop” team from the School of Business investigated local prosperity initiatives, and the “Beautiful Homeland” team from the School of Humanities supported rural revitalization projects.

In the end, the “Eastern Zhejiang Tang Poetry Road” team won first prize, while the “Red Bonds Across Mountains and Seas” and “Shared Prosperity Workshop” teams secured second prizes. The “Beautiful Homeland” team received third prize. The students showcased their passion, perseverance, and problem-solving abilities, earning widespread praise.
