TU students delivered wonderful performance in the 2024 Zhejiang Provincial College Students Art Festival concluded recently at Zhejiang Chinese Medicine University. TU submitted six entries, earning three first prizes, two second prizes, and one “Outstanding Campus Singer” title. The university also received the “Excellent Organization Award” for the 6th consecutive year. The theme of the festival is National Spirit, Chinese Dream.
The first prize-winning projects included the mixed chorus “Viewing the Dawn from a Boat” guided by Zhou Yu and Zheng Xiaona, the small ensemble “Woodsman Returning from the Cloudy Mountains” guided by Lin Jiayi, Ying Zhenyunxiao, and Shen Nannan, and the small ensemble “New Words from Dunhuang” guided by Zheng Xiaona, Lin Jiayi, and Ying Zhenyunxiao. The second prize-winning projects included the vocal performance “Charming Female Roles in Opera” guided by Chen Jufang and the vocal performance “Thoughts on Jiarong” guided by He Ping and Lu Yannan. Additionally, the student named Zhang Yunsong, guided by Ye Gaofeng, received the “Outstanding Campus Singer” honorary title.

TU has always attached great importance to campus culture construction, adhering to the principle of educating people through beauty and culture. The University Youth League Committee and various secondary schools actively prepared for the arts festival. The submitted entries had distinctive themes rich in contemporary characteristics, vividly interpreting the value pursuit of young students in the new era who dare to dream, diligently pursue their dreams, and have the courage to fulfill them. These entries fully demonstrated the fruitful results of artistic education at TU.
It is reported that the 2024 Zhejiang Provincial College Students Art Festival was jointly hosted by Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Finance, and Zhejiang Radio and Television Group, and was hosted by Zhejiang Chinese Medical University. It collectively displayed the latest aesthetic education achievements of colleges and universities in Zhejiang Province in recent years. This event received 653 entries from 100 universities in Zhejiang Province. After review by the organizing committee and expert panel selection, 167 programs entered the four-day live performance, including 55 vocal music programs, 51 instrumental music programs, and 61 top ten campus singer programs.
