Students from TU delivered outstanding performances at the 19th Zhejiang “Challenge Cup” Competition for Extracurricular Academic and Sci-Tech Works, held from May 16th to 18th at Zhejiang Chinese Medical University.
Two projects represented the university in the provincial finals:
Heart Cube: An innovative public welfare education platform offering “spatio-temporal compensation” for “996” left-behind children in cities. (School of Foreign Languages; Advisor: Li Danna; Team: Wu Xintong + 6 others)
Intelligent Biomimetic AI Exoskeleton Power-Assist Robot: Its design and applications. (School of Intelligent Manufacturing (Aeronautical Engineering); Advisor: Zhang Guo’an; Team: Shen Zhezhu + 9 others)
Both projects impressed the judges with their strong theoretical grounding, thorough research, and excellent presentations, each securing a Silver Award. The university achieved its best-ever results at this competition, winning a total of 5 Silver Awards and 13 Bronze Awards.

Foreign Languages Team: Heart Cube Project

Intelligent Manufacturing Team: AI Exoskeleton Project
The University Youth League Committee spearheaded the competition effort starting late 2024, backed by strong university leadership and all participating schools/colleges. A rigorous selection process, including school-level contests, written reviews, and a university-wide competition, identified the top entries. Ultimately, 25 projects advanced to the main provincial contest, and 8 projects entered the provincial “Red Special” track.
Throughout the preparation phase, departments and schools worked together closely. They provided continuous support during project development, selection, refinement, and enhancement, organizing numerous expert workshops and guidance sessions to ensure the highest quality submissions.
